Our New Darling Square Adventure

In Collaboration, In the Press, Sustainable

Fish & Co is bursting with excitement to be opening another store in Sydney’s new city neighbourhoodDarling Square.

We are just one in the epic collection of eateries – called Maker’s Dozen – located on ground level of Kengo Kuma’s futuristic Exchange Building. The Makers Dozen marketplace is due to open for trade August 2019, with offerings from your morning coffee and brunch through to late night snacks, long weekend lunches and grab-and-go takeaway, the Maker’s Dozen will be welcoming guests seven days a week.

Not only will The Exchange be a place for food lovers to come together, to experience quality yet casual food in an exceptionally designed space but will also house over the six floors, a childcare centre, Darling Square Library – hosting the latest technology to support innovators, entrepreneurs and startups and within it, the Ideas Lab – a 200sqm makerspace workshop and multipurpose room with access to resources and equipment including 3D printers, a soldering iron and a laser cutter.

All of this and more you’ll find inside the buildings circular façade wrapped in 20 kilometres of sustainably sourced curved timber. The Exchange is set to become an important part of the city’s fabric, bringing food, learning and community together in a unique architectural form.

We cannot wait to reveal our beautifully designed eatery by Anthony Gill Architects, and open our doors to Sydney’s newest and most connected city neighbourhoods.
