Sustainable seafood from around the world

In Certified Fish, From Fish & Co, Info, Main Courses

At fish & Co in Annandale we are constantly thriving to bring you delicious wild sustainable seafood from Australia, New Zealand and from around the world.

When researching my recent book Fish Tales about Sustainable fisheries around the world The Alaskan wild salmon fisheries that we visited were particularly striking. The methods of harvesting these mighty fish have not really changed for thousands of years. Many of the fisherman are Inuit Indians whose knowledge of the salmon is part of their tribal heritage and traditions. The fishery is incredibly sustainable, respecting how the salmon breed and annually run up the rivers.

Wild Alaskan Salmon has one of the highest omega 3 counts of any wild fish- many points above its nearest competitor.
What is most important is that it is delicious and full of flavour and The fish is wild salmon and not farmed.
The really good news is that we now have Alaskan Wild Salmon on the menu at Fish & Co

The salmon fillets are proving a hit on the menu. Come to Fish & Co and try it for your self.
Currently you can taste it with herbed lentils and a salsa verde made with capers, garlic and lots of herbs.
The wild Alaskan salmon has proved so popular in the first week at Fish & Co that it will definitely feature a lot on these warm evenings.

With the hot weather and the holidays on the way, there is no better time to come and sample our menu. The international flavours that are present on our menu come from all my food travels. ( 42 countries at the last count.) We have a hot and sour soup on the menu, with spiced fish cakes which is proving very popular. The Vietnamese prawn cakes are one of our top sellers. For the hot weather at Fish & Co. The sustainable seafood cafe we have the perfect dish. A Chilean Ceviche of white fish. The strips of fish are quickly cured with lime juice, green chilli and coriander. This dish is great to share, refreshing and delicious. Come and have a try, and match it with a glass of our Chilean Sauvignon Blanc. It is match made in Heaven.

We are taking lots of booking for the festive season. To avoid disappointment book a table at Fish & Co the sustainable seafood cafe. 41 Booth St Annandale 2038
